4) Disable Cortana On Windows 11 From the Registry Editor

- Open Run utility.
- Enter regedit in the search menu & press Enter. Click on Yes to continue.
- Navigate to the path given below:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search
- Right-click on a blank space on the right pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- If you do not see the Windows Search folder, then you can go to the left pane and right-click on the Windows folder to create a new Windows Search folder.
- When you see the new Dword value, rename it as AllowCortana. Double-click on it and set its value to ‘0’.
- Save the changes by clicking on OK.
After finishing the steps, restart your Windows 11 to apply the changes.
5) Uninstall Cortana On Windows 11 using Windows PowerShell
You can uninstall Cortana completely from your Windows 11 PC instead of disabling it.
But make sure you are confident enough to handle Windows PowerShell, as this requires some technical knowledge.
Here is how to uninstall Cortana on Windows 11:
- Type Windows PowerShell in the search menu and choose to run it as administrator.
- Click on Yes on the UAC prompt to continue.
- Now copy & paste this command in the PowerShell window:
Get-AppxPackage -allusers Microsoft.549981C3F5F10 | Remove-AppxPackage
