Now you can easily schedule a Teams meeting in Outlook using the Teams add-in.
So, there is no need to add Teams to Outlook to organize a Teams meeting.
This add-in gets automatically installed on your Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android device while you install both Teams & Outlook.

Here is how to add Teams to Outlook for Windows, webpage, and smartphones.
1) Use Teams Outlook Plugin In Outlook Web App
You can use the Teams outlook plugin in the Outlook web app if you have the previous version of Outlook. This lets you organize Teams meeting directly from Outlook.
You can add the meeting coordinates to the meeting invite by clicking on the Send button.
2) Add Teams To Outlook For Windows
If you are using Office 13 or Office 2016, or Office 2019, then the Teams add-in is already installed in your system.
You can find the Teams add-in on the Outlook Calendar ribbon.
If you don’t see the teams add-in there, then exit both Teams and Outlook.
Again open Teams and sign in with your account credentials and then reopen Outlook.
Now follow the steps given below to find Teams add-in in Outlook:
- Open Outlook and log in with your account details. From the extreme left side, click App Launcher.
- Teams should be there. Click on Teams and follow the instructions given on the screen.
- Sign in with your password. When prompted, add your phone number or contact details and click on the Next button.
- A quick question pop-up will appear. Check that and then click Continue as shown below.
For changing the contact number, click on the Transfer number option and follow the instructions on the screen.
- The following pop-up window will show you how you want to appear on Teams.
- Check the details appearing on the next screen and if all the displayed information is correct, click on the Continue button.
You can now conduct a meeting on Teams.
3) Teams Add-in In Outlook For Android And iOS Smartphones
The Teams Meeting button will automatically appear if you have the latest version of the Outlook iOS and Android app, as I have shown in the picture below.
To send the meeting link to your team members, click the Send button, and you are done.
4) Use Teams Meeting Add-in In Outlook OnMac
You will find the Teams Meeting button in the Outlook for Mac ribbon.
For this, you need to have an Office 365 client subscription, and Outlook has 16.24.414.0 or a later production build.
Just click on the Send button, and the meeting coordinates will be invited for the meeting.
5) Use FindTime Add-in On Outlook
You can also use the FindTime add-in on Outlook to schedule a meeting on Teams.
Select a meeting time, and FindTimes will automatically send the invitation for the meeting on your behalf.
You can also select the Online Meeting option in FindTime to schedule a Teams meeting.
