How To Adjust Screen Position In Windows 10/11?

Sometimes the Windows 10 may have installed a new display driver that is creating the Windows 10 screen shifted issue.

Any changes made in the Display Settings other than the previous version may also be the reason.

 Many of the users have reported getting this problem after they have upgraded their Windows to the latest available version.

In case the video card driver is outdated, the issue may also get triggered so remember to upgrade this.

Fix 1: Change The Display Resolution

In case the display shifts to your right, this problem maybe because of the display resolution. So, to fix the problem, you need to change the resolution.

This is a workaround and not a permanent solution, so you need to try out different resolutions for finding out the suitable one.

You might also need to repeat the process. Here I am describing the steps. Follow them to execute the task:

Step 1: Click right on any blank space on your Desktop and then select the Display Settings option.

Step 2: Now go to Settings and then lower the Display Resolution.

If you find that the problem got solved this way, hit the Keep Changes button.

If the problem persists, choose the Revert option instead.

Fix 2: Choose The Center Image Option

If you wish to adjust the screen position on Windows 10, choose to change the Center image option. So, let us now see how to do this. Follow the steps as I have mentioned.

Step 1: Click right on any blank space on your Desktop and then select the Graphics Options.

Step 2: Now go to the Panel Fit category and choose Center Image. After doing this, the image will get readjusted. Check if your problem gets an answer this way.

Fix 3: Make Some Alteration In The Monitor Configuration

In case you are using a PC, you may face this Windows 10 screen shifted issue because of the monitor configuration.

It might happen that accidentally your monitor got configured in such a way and you need to check this out.

Step 1: You need to open Monitor Settings by clicking on the menu button of your monitor and then choose the horizontal and vertical Screen Position option. This readjustment can effectively settle the matter.

Step 2: You also have the option to make some alteration from Auto Configuration and then choose to automatically readjust the screen. 

Fix 4: Use Safe Mode Option

When you get annoyed with your screen shifting to the left or right side, besides checking the configuration of the monitor, you may start your PC in the Safe Mode.

Step 1: Go to the Search option and choose the Settings option. Then open the Update & Security category.

Step 4: Now click on Startup Settings and hit the Restart button. When your Computer restarts several options will get displayed.

Step 5: Choose your preferred version of Safe mode with the help of the corresponding key from your keyboard.

When you get into the safe mode check whether your problem got addressed this way.

Fix 5: Check The Refresh Rate

Changing the refresh rate is another option for fixing – My computer screen is shifted to the right how do I fix an issue.

But you will have to check this out inputting several values till you find the right one working for you.

With the help of the graphic’s card’s Control Panel, you may also change the refresh rate.

Follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Click right on any blank space on your Desktop and then select the Display Settings option.

Step 5: Check if this has worked for you or you need to experiment with few more values.

Fix 6: When you wish to fix the screen shifting to the right, the issue may be related to the graphics card software. 

Fix 6: Update Your Drivers

There may be corruption in the drivers, or they may need an update. So, remember to re-check your drivers as this can cause you a lot of problems with your system.

Besides having a problem with the network, drivers can generate other problems too.

We recommend you install the latest drivers available. Follow the steps mentioned below to accomplish the task:

Step 1: First of all, you need to search for the model of the wireless adapter you are using.

Then visit the website of the manufacturer and from there you need to download the latest driver required as per your model.

Step 2:  Then proceed with the installation of the driver. Make sure you download them on a separate device and then get them transferred to your Computer or choose using an Ethernet connection.

Step 3: It is a bit tiring job to download the drivers manually. So, remember to check the specific model of your device.

You may also take the help of a third-party tool for downloading and installing the drivers instantly. 

Fix 7: Verify The Graphics Card Software

The graphics cards are introduced with their software. This helps you in configuring the Display Settings like scaling, position, or resolution.

Step 1: Open the Graphics card software and then move on to the display section. Now Adjust Desktop Size And Position.

Step 2: Next select the Position tab and centralize the position using the right arrow key.

Step 3: When you get your desired result, hit the Apply button for saving the changes. 

Fix 8: Reinstall The Graphics Card Driver In Device Manager

The NVIDIA driver that you are using to run the GPU, maybe the cause of the problem when GeForce Experience bugs out and fails to launch.

The problem may get serious in case you are using an outdated driver. Sometimes the driver also may have been wrongly installed.

Follow the steps provided to know how to uninstall and reinstall the latest driver for your GPU:

Step 1: First of all, Right-click on the Windows Start menu and select Device Manager.

Now, search for Display Adapter and then right-click on your NVIDIA GTX or RTX graphics card.

Step 2: Next choose Uninstall device as I have shown in the picture.

    I am so sick of HP . INSTAT INK (STINKS) . i canceled my account . new carts in and my printer is still held HOSTAGE.can’t use my ptinter. this has been going for over 2 weeks 5 so callled helpers . it seems that HP is just ignoring me.A soon as i can i am getting rid of all my HP products!!

    This screen shift issue “solution” is ONLY good for times when screen shifts to the right.
    If screen is shifted to the left, you cannot access the buttons to get to Settings, etc.

      You can open Settings by pressing the Windows + I keys.
