For setting up trusted contacts, you will have to log in to Facebook in your browser.
Add few friends to the contacts list and this is going to help when you are locked out of the account.
If you cannot log in anytime in the future, then the Trusted Contacts will generate the recovery code and you will be able to reset the password.
Step 1: All you will have to do is select the Menu option at the top right corner of your Facebook Page.
Step 2: Then go to Settings as I have shown in the picture below.
Now move on to the Security and Login section.
Select the Edit option, right next to Choose Friends to contact…. option.
In case you face difficulty in finding the option, scroll down and you are going to find the same under the Setting up extra security category.
Step 3: Select Choose Friends option and you will get a pop-up message with details about the Trusted Contacts.
Step 4: Now click on Choose Trusted Contacts option and input the name of your friend.
Step 5: Click on the name of your friend and keep adding two more contacts. You are permitted to add up to 5 contacts.
Step 6: Now hit the confirm button and this is going to add your friends to the list of your trusted contacts.
If you wish to get locked out of the account and need help from your Trusted contact, then here is how you can do it:
Step 1: Hit on the Forgot Account option and the sign-in page follow the pop-up instructions for searching your account name by keying your phone number or email address.
If you are not having access to the listed accounts, you will have to enter a fresh email account and hit the Continue button.
Step 2: Then choose the Reveal my Trusted contacts option and enter the name of one person you have added.
Step 3: You may email the link to the person and ask him to open it. Logging onto their accounts they will find a code for getting back into your account.

Step 1: First of all, you will have to open Facebook on your web browser.
You may log into someone’s account with the help of the text messages or email address although it is not lawful to crack someone else’s email account.
Step 2: Now choose the Forget account option. You will find this option on the sign-in page right beneath the password box at the top right corner.
Step 3: Next enter the phone number or email address of the user and hit the search button.
As per the account’s settings, a 6-digit code will be automatically sent to the phone number or the email address.
In case you do not have the access to the phone number or email address, choose to hit the Didn’t get a code option and then proceed with the next step.
Step 4: Choose an account that you can access and then choose This Is My Account.
Now, this is going to send the 6-digit code to the selected phone number or email address.
Step 5: If you can get access to the mailbox or email address, enter the code for resetting the password and then sign into the account.
If you fail to access any of the accounts listed, move on to the next step.
Step 6: Choose No Longer Have access to these so that you can try to log in again. When you have logged in, you will be able to change the email on your account.
Step 7: Now you will have to enter a phone number or email you will be able to access and hit the continue button.
Step 8: If you can reset the password the link will be sent to the phone number or email address provided.
Step 9: If you find out that there is no option to reveal trusted contacts, move on to the next step.
Facebook allows the users to assign trusted contacts to the respective accounts for the emergency locked out purpose.
Step 10: You can find out the contact list for generating the recovery code. This is how you can do it:
- Hit Reveal My Trusted Contacts button and input the name of the contacts and click on the Confirm button.
- You will find a list of the trusted person’s contact with the URL. Now, you are free to text, call, or message the trusted Contacts and then ask them to visit https://www.facebook.com/recover and then sign in. Now you will receive a code from the contact.
- Now follow the instructions given onscreen.
