They have brought solutions to difficulties arising during online meetings and made them more engaging. The meetings would be more secure and personalized with the premium version.
What Exactly is Microsoft Teams Premium?
At the time of Microsoft Ignite Conference on 12th October, 2022, Microsoft Teams Premium was announced. It is basically a paid version of Teams.
Microsoft intends to launch a new “Teams Premium” add-on with enhanced personalisation, AI capabilities, and security features in December 2022 as a preview.
On October 12, the opening day of its Ignite 2022 conference, the firm also declared that the Teams Mesh avatars it had promised were now accessible in a private preview.
The Teams Premium add-on will come with capabilities that, according to Microsoft executives, will be useful to all types of meeting attendees and hosts, whether they’re taking part in one-on-one conversations, virtual appointments, town halls, or webinars.
Teams Premium preview will start to roll out its features in December 2022, and public availability is planned for February 2023.

Microsoft executives now predict that once it is broadly accessible, the Teams Premium add-on will cost $10 per user each month.
What Are The New Premium Features?
The following functions are planned to be included in Premium:
Meeting Guides: Designed to assist users in selecting the ideal meeting setting (client call, brainstorm meeting, help desk support, etc.). IT administrators will be able to control and adjust this capability so that settings are pre-set for specific meeting kinds.
Users will receive customised highlights from Teams meetings, according to an intelligent summary.
Branding: Teams users can customise Together Mode scenarios, Teams lobby backgrounds, and meeting experiences with their own logos and backgrounds.
AI-generated tasks: Action items from meetings are automatically assigned.
Callouts for instances during a meeting when a user’s name was used, screens were shared, and when people joined and left are examples of personalised insights.
To assist you find specific points for reference, intelligent search will include new capabilities like suggested speakers.
The new AI technology will also automatically generate chapters and personalized recording highlights of the meetings.
Live caption translations: Live translations are added, pushing away language barriers with 40 spoken languages supported.
Advanced meeting security: Users will receive tools for more effectively protecting private meetings, such as board meetings, financial conversations, or schedules for new product launches.
In order to prevent leaks, this will involve watermarking, limiting who can record, and other measures. Customers of Microsoft 365 E5 will be able to use the Microsoft Purview Information Protection sensitivity labels to apply the appropriate meeting protection options automatically.
Advanced webinars: These will have options like a waitlist for registration and manual approvals, automated email reminders, a virtual green room for hosts and presenters, and the ability to control what participants can view.
Advanced virtual appointments: Extra features including SMS reminders before appointments, tailored lobby experiences, and follow-ups after appointments.
