If Adblock is not is not working on Twitch then you have reached the right topic. Here we have mentioned the ways to fix the issue yourself. Have a check and let us know.

Solution 1: Try Advanced Settings In Chrome

This is probably the handiest solution I can provide if your AdBlock is not working on twitch and you are somewhat bombarded with the unwanted ads!

Chrome provides you some advanced experimental settings that may lead to some unexpected errors. But you may easily access them if you are clear what you are to perform. Just be a little familiar dealing with troubleshooting software errors and then proceed.

Follow these steps to successfully try the advanced settings:

Step 1: First of all, open Chrome and type chrome://flags/#network-service in the address bar.

Step 2: Click on Enable network service and press Disabled.

Step 3: Now save the changes and reboot Chrome and check if the problem is solved.

Solution 2: Check If AdBlock Extension Is Up To Date

If you are confronting this issue very recently, make sure that you did update the AdBlock extension. The outdated extension may fail to block ads on twitch and remember to reboot your browser after updating to check if the problem still persists.

We will illustrate the process using Google Chrome and request you follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Open Chrome and type ‘chrome://extensions’ in the address bar. Then press Enter.

Step 2: Now Extensions Windows will be visible. Here, toggle the Developer Mode to On.

Step 3: Click update and wait till all the extensions get updated in Google Chrome.

Step 4: Then Restart the browser.

Step 5: Now, open Twitch and check is the problem is solved.

Solution 3: Choose Another Browser

You may choose an alternative browser available in the market. Many of them have built-in add blockers even on Twitch, like – Opera GX.

As this browser is built on Chromium, all extensions applicable in Chrome will easily work in Opera GX. There is also a virus scanner provided to warn you if you choose any malicious file.

We hope this will strip the ads from the twitch and hence solve your problem when you are puzzled with how to block twitch ads!

Solution 4: Try Alternate Player For Twitch. TV

The Alternate Player for Twitch.tv (Twitch 5) blocks most of the ads from live streams. You can tune the settings of the player to your internet connection and continue watching in an alternate player like MX Player or VLC Media Player, etc.

So, you may try this solution to block twitch ads.

Step 1: Open the link and add the extension to the browser.

You may try to add Alternate Player for Twitch to Chrome or Firefox Browsers.

Step 2: Restart the Browser and now open Twitch to check whether your problem is solved.

Solution 5: Use Filters

Any AdBlock extension you choose will have filters lists. There can be custom list, white list or blacklist that may also be added manually. You can solve the problem when disgruntled with twitch ads not blocked, by adding twitch ads stream to the blacklist provided.

Very recently I found this to be helpful if you tick adguard base filters and easy list in the Filter Lists or you can try these basic steps provided:

Step 1: Open Chrome and select AdBlock Extension > AdBlock Icon.

Step 2: Now Click Gear Icon and AdBlock Settings will get opened.

Step 3: Next hit the Customize button.

Step 4: Now, Click on Edit > Manually Edit Your Filters.

Step 5: Make your desired changes.

Bottom Line

So, there you have it! I hope by now you are able to find the solution to block twitch ads and you find this article helpful. Feel free to comment below with your suggestions. We are always eager to hear from you.
