There may be multiple of reasons why your Uplay connection got lost. There may be some software conflict issues.

Your firewall protection or the programs running in the background may create trouble.

Sometimes there may be corruption with the DNS cache files which may generate Uplay connection lost issue as well.

Besides, you need to check the proxy settings in case the game is not properly configured.

Let us now discuss about some viable solutions to tackle the problem. Have a look!

Fix 1: Disable Firewall

Sometimes your Firewall can create problem by blocking the connection of your Uplay. In case there is any software conflict you will face such issues like Uplay not working.

To resolve the problem, you may temporarily disable the Firewall protection service and hope this will enable you to solve the problem with your uplay connection.

Step 1: Open your Settings and then select the Update And Security window.

Step 2: Now from the given options choose Windows Security. Now select the Firewall And Network Protection Service.

Next choose your network and disable Firewall. Now check if this has solved your problem.

Fix 2: Check Your Antivirus Protection Service

You may have been using some antivirus programs for your protection. Even these can create problem with your uplay connection. So, try configuring these applications properly to enable Uplay run smoothly using your local connection.

For further protection it is recommended to shut down the Internet Connection Sharing programs (ICS) and VPN, since any of these may also interfere with your games.

Fix 3: Proxy Settings And Offline Mode

If you failed to connect to Uplay, check the configuration. Sometimes the Uplay may be configured to start offline each time you tend to open it.

The proxy settings on your Windows 10 may also create connection issues for Uplay.

Follow the below mentioned steps to solve the problem:

Step 1: Launch your Uplay. Then from the top right side, hit on the Menu icon.

Step 2: Now from the displayed options choose Settings. Now select Always Start Uplay In Offline Mode and uncheck the option.

Step 3: Now check the Proxy Settings options in case there are some problems with its configuration. Minutely check the configuration and make changes if needed.

Fix 4: Close All The Background Applications

Some background applications may be corrupted which generates Uplay not working issue.

So, here I recommend you that before starting any game from Uplay, close all the apps running in the background to ensure that those should not create any trouble while gaming.

Try closing all the background apps and check whether this helps to solve the problem.

Step 1: Open the Settings and then go to the Privacy window.

Privacy_setting

Now, select the Background Apps option as shown in the picture below.

General_settings

Step 2: Next navigate for Choose Which Apps Can Run In The Background option.  Then proceed by turning off the toggle switch for all the applications.

Background_apps

This will disable all the apps running in the background.  Close the window and then launch your game.

When you turn off the background apps it will give you a smooth gaming experience.

If you find that this solves your Uplay oriented problem, then make sure one of the apps was preventing internet access to your gaming servers.

Fix 5: Flush The DNS Files

It is especially important to flush DNS as they keep the IP addresses of the servers that you have recently visited.

So, flushing the DNS cache is an effective solution as these files may be somewhat corrupted and cause problem with your internet connection.

Follow the steps mentioned below top accomplish the task:

Step 1: Go to your Windows start option and enter CMD there to open Command prompt.

Step 2: When you get into the Command prompt window, enter:

ipconfig /flushdns in the given window.

Flushdns

Step 3: Then hit the enter key. Now you will get a message that the flushing procedure has been completed as I have shown in the picture below.

Flushdns_msg

These instructions are viable only for your Windows 10. After you have successfully done the steps check whether this has checked the issue.

Fix 6: Reset The Host Files

Your Windows uses the host files for mapping the IP addresses for hosting names.

In case these files contain any malicious entry, you might have internet connection issues while gaming.

So, you need to check this out and do some resetting. Here is a full guide for resetting the host files:

Step 1: First of all, you need to download the default host file and then extract it and copy the same to:

C: WindowsSystem32driversetc

Step 2: Then hit the replace button. After this in case there is any problem with your host files, it will resolve the issue.

This is a quite common solution in case you have any connectivity issues with your Uplay.

Fix 7: Restrictive Network Configurations

The ISP administrators and Network may prevent your networks to cause problems with the Uplay connection issues. In this case, I will advise you to contact the administrators for resolving the issue.

Fix 8: Contact Your Ubisoft Team

This is perhaps the last suggestion that I may give you in case you could not find any answer to Uplay not connecting issues.

You can contact the Ubisoft support team directly and share your problem stating the error message that you are receiving. The experts will promptly advice you to proceed further.
