Download And Add a Chrome Theme

With the theme applied, the browser borders and the new tab background can be modified to the user’s preferences. The added benefit is that your themes are saved to your Google account. It means, when you log into Chrome on a separate device with your account, Google will apply that theme to the Chrome on the new device as well. You literally take your theme with you.

To add a new Chrome theme and customize your browser, here are the steps you can follow:

1. On your system, open Google Chrome.
2. Sign in to Chrome using your account. This will save your settings to your account.
3. At the top right, click on the hamburger menu (≡).
4. Select Settings.
5. Under Appearance, click Themes.

This will take you to the Chrome Web Store.

  6. Here you can view the various themes created by the Chrome developer team, and others created by the community as well. See how the themes would appear using the images provided in the thumbnails.

 7. Click on the theme you like.

  8. In the next page that opens up, click on Add to Chrome to add this theme to your browser.

This will immediately apply the theme to your browser.

After installing if you change your mind and want to try some other theme, you can click Undo at the very top of the page. Then you can install another theme as well.

How To Remove A Chrome Theme?

If you don’t want to add some fancy theme, and want to remove a Chrome theme, you can revert back to the default theme as well.

To see the classic white theme of Google Chrome, here are the steps you can follow to remove a Chrome theme.

1. On your system, open Google Chrome.
2. At the top right, click on the hamburger menu (≡).
3. Select Settings.
4. Under Appearance, click Reset to default.

This will bring back the classic white Google Chrome theme back.

Remove Malware
