How To Fix The Problem Of Windows 10 Wifi Icons Missing?

When the Windows 10 starts, users can find many icons on the taskbar which shows whether Wi-Fi is switched on or the network is available. There are many situations in which users are unable to see the icons in Windows 10. There can be many reasons for the problem but users can apply the following solutions. The script in Command Prompt Users can resolve the problem by running a script in the Command Prompt. They have to take the following steps. 1. Open the Command Prompt in Administrator Mode. 2. Type the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and press Enter. 3. The process may take a few minutes to complete and then a message will be displayed which show that the command has been executed successfully. Install the Windows Application again. The applications displayed in the Taskbar can be uninstalled with the help of PowerShell. Take the following steps for uninstalling and reinstalling the applications. 1. Open Start Menu and type PowerShell in the dialog box. 2. Right-click PowerShell and click Run as Administrator. 3. Type the command Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”} 4. Press Enter. 5. Restart the computer after the process is completed. Perform Windows Update Users should run Windows update to resolve the problem of wifi icon missing windows in the taskbar. These updates fix most of the bugs including the missing icons. Here are the steps which the users can follow to resolve the issue. 1. Press Windows key + S and when the search bar appears, type windows update. 2. When the check for updates button appears, click it. 3. Install the updates and restart the computer. Restart Windows Explorer This is one of the perfect steps of getting rid of the problem of windows 10 network icon missing. Take the following steps to restart Windows Explorer. 1. Press Ctrl _ Shift + Escape to start the Task Manager. 2. Click the Processes tab and select Windows Explorer App. 3. Click Restart. Create a new user Users can create a new user account which will help in resolving the problem of windows 10 no wifi icon. A user account can be easily created from Control Panel. Here are the steps which the users have to take to make a new account. 1. In the Administrator account, go to Settings and click Accounts. 2. Click Family and Users. 3. Select the menu and then click Add someone else to the PC. 4. Follow the instructions on the wizard and user account will be created. Run File Checker There are some files that may have corrupted and this can cause the problem of wireless icon missing. In order to resolve the taskbar problem, users have to run file checker and here are the steps. 1. Press Windows key along with R to show the Run dialog box. 2. Type taskmgr in the box and press Enter. 3. Click the File menu and then click Run new task. 4. A dialog box will appear in which the user has to type PowerShell. Click the checkbox which is labeled as Create this task with administrative privileges. 5. When the Windows PowerShell window is visible, type the following command sfc / scannow 6. Press Enter and the command will start its work. 7. If the command reduces any error, it can be fixed by typing the command DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth 8. Press Enter. 9. This command will repair all the corrupt files. Users must make a note of it that they should not terminate the command in the middle. The speed of the command depends on the speed of the internet. 10. Restart the computer and see if the problem of wireless network disappeared has been resolved. Reregister the taskbar again Users can reregister the PowerShell in order to resolve the problem of network icon not showing in the taskbar. Users must be aware of the fact that if this command is not installed properly, it can cause a problem in the operating system. Here are the steps to run the command. 1. Press Windows key + R to open Run dialog box. 2. Type taskmgr and press Enter. This will launch the Task manager window. 3. Click the File menu and click Run new task. 4. A dialog box will appear in which the user has to type PowerShell. Click the checkbox which is labeled as Create this task with administrative privileges. 5. Type the command on the PowerShell 6. Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”} 7. Press Enter. 8. After the command is executed, go to Windows Explorer and check the folder C:/Users/name/AppData/Local/. 9. Find the folder TileDataLayer and delete it. 10. Check the Taskbar now. Wrapping Up These are a few tips which the users can apply to get rid of the problem of connection icon disappeared. The taskbar will also work successfully. If these tips do not work then you may need to reinstall or update Windows 10 to get rid of the problem of wifi icon missing windows 10.
