  • Method 1: Use Command Prompt
  • Method 2: Again Use Command Prompt
  • Method 3: System Restore Can Work
  • Method 4: Remove Malware/ Spyware/ Adware
  • Method 5: Run SFC Scan

Simply running commands on to your computer can solve the problem.

Follow these steps-

  • Type ‘cmd’ on the search box
  • Right click on Command Prompt desktop app
  • Choose ‘Run as administrator’ option

CMD Prompt

It might ask you before running the Administrator. Here you need to choose ‘Yes’ option.

  • Type ‘regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\actxprxy.dll’ and Press ‘Enter’ key

Actxprxy.dll

This process might take a few seconds to minutes. Once done, type exit and press enter key.

Now, you need to reboot the computer and check whether you still get no such interface supported in Windows 7/ 8.1/ 10 error. If somehow it remains there, follow the next process.

Method 2: Again Use Command Prompt

Follow the steps till ‘Run as administrator’ and then type the below command

  • FOR /R C:\ %G IN (*.dll) DO “%systemroot%\system32\regsvr32.exe” /s “%G”

regservr32.exe

  • Press ‘Enter’

It usually takes several minutes to complete the process.

The main difference between Method 1 and 2 is that you have re-registered a specific DLL using the first command whereas later command helps in re-registering multiple DLL files.

Note:

It is advised to create a restore point before using the Command Prompt. This helps in restoring your computer if anything goes wrong.

Method 3: System Restore Can Work

It has been noticed that no such interface supported in Windows 10 error messages occur because of any missing or corrupted file.

Even other Windows versions users can also get the same message and try this method to solve it-

  • Type ‘system restore’ on the search box
  • Click on ‘Create a System Point’

Create Restore Point

  • On ‘System Properties’, click on ‘System Restore’

System Properties

It will open the restoring window and ask you to choose a specific date.

If you have already created a restore point earlier, you can use that or else the computer will show recommended date for restore. Click on ‘Next’ and ‘Finish’ the process.

It will take a few minutes for completion. Once done, it will reboot your PC.

Method 4: Remove Malware/ Spyware/ Adware

The presence of these types of threats can cause problems in running Windows programs and it is essential to remove them time-to-time.

Here you need to install desktop apps like CCleaner or anti-malware programs. Now, run it on the PC and scan all drives. If it finds any such mischievous files, it will be removed.

Reboot the computer and it will work fine.

Note:

It is also a good approach to run antivirus scan respectively.

Method 5: Run SFC Scan

Users can also give a try SFC scan on the command prompt.

It is a way to correct any missing or corrupt files of the Windows 7 interface. This command will also work on other versions of Windows operating system.

Follow these steps-

  • Type ‘cmd’ on the search box

Command Prompt

  • Click on ‘Command Prompt’ desktop app

SFC Scan Now

  • Type ‘Sfc /scannow’ and Press ‘Enter’ key

It will take a little time to complete and then reboot the PC.
