Solution 1: Unplug And Plug Back In The Keyboard
Sometimes issues get resolved with just a plug out and plug-in method. It is one of the easiest solutions and you should definitely try it. Plug out the keyboard from your computer, ensure that there is no damage to the connector cable and USB port, then plug back into your computer to check if this method helps you to fix keyboard pressing keys by itself.
Solution 2: Attach The Keyboard To Another Computer

If the problem is fixed, gently insert the key back to your keyboard and again check if the issue appears.
In case the problem still persists, then unplug the keyboard from your computer and attach it with another PC. If the keyboard works properly, then it might be due to misconfiguration in your computer settings.

None of these solutions seem to work. Also I swapped out 2-3 PC’s and all seem to have this problem. Is there a problem with browsers?
i have a klim keyboard and it typs stuff by its self
None of these worked. I suspect an issue with either the USB driver or the USB on the motherboard itself. Most keyboards and mice these days (excluding laptops) are USB.
Well none of these worked for me either. This came up on my HP laptop, which is brand new, after I had hooked it up to an external keyboard and mouse, which was wired and used. It had worked fine with the onboard keyboard for the first several days that I had it and after hooking up the external keyboard and mouse I started to get these random errors of keys appearing to be stuck, but were not, and kept throwing random letters as if I was holding down the key. I had to stop it many time by hitting the back key and of course I had to fix every sentence I typed because of random letters, misspelling or missed letter, etc. I thought replacing the keyboard would fix it, but it was the same thing on a brand new wireless keyboard.
My setup was the HP laptop and a docking station. I had the wireless Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse transmitter plugged into the docking station along with my display port for my external display. That’s all that was connected the docking station. I had the docking station plugged into the laptop USB, an external hard drive in the laptop USB port and a thumb drive that I use for portable apps in the laptop USB and that’s all the USB ports I had.
After none of the fixes above worked at all I decided, because that’s the only option I really had, to put the wireless keyboard transmitter in the laptop USB port and take the thumb drive out of the laptop USB and plug that into the docking stations USB port. Well after I reboot, just in case, i have to say its now working fine. This long explanation is proof as I did not have one error and prior to the fix this would have been misspelled or so illegible you would think I was a 1st grader.
So my issue appears to be because of the USB port as someone had mentioned as a possible issue, but I did not fix the port, just used a different one. Hope this helps someone else out because I know how frustration it is to type for 5 minutes only to take 10 minutes to correct what you just tried to type.
I’ve also got this issue on a new HP laptop, it’s very intermittent though.
you need some typing parts so people what to type
I am facing repeated key function with my old keyboard on my PC with windows 10 OS. So I bought a new key board.. With the new keyboard I am facing the same repeated function of the keys. I plugged the new keyboard on my laptop but no repetition of the keys, means the new keyboard is fine.
I than bought a wireless keyboard for my PC. It is working fine no trouble, and no repetition of the keys.
I reinstall the Windows 10, followed all the tips to rectify the repeating keys on my pc with wired keyboard . But nothing worked. Can any body help? Thanking you.
Your issue seems to be related to the USB ports of your PC. Try connecting to other USB ports and see if it fixes the issue.
I have this same problem on Windows 11 64bit, I think it’s always driver USB. Change to PS/2 maybe help.
