Check that your router is closer to your setup and the Wi-Fi signal strength is good.
If you find your Wi-Fi not working, then first fix it. After checking your internet connection, tweak a few Zoom settings to improve zoom video quality as discussed below.
Process 2: Modify The Video Settings
If you want to enhance your video calling experience, you will have to tweak some of the settings on Zoom.
Let’s see the changes one by one. Just follow the steps below to do it:

- Click on the drop down menu for Adjust for low light option.
You can use the Auto option, which will automatically adjust the light to better the video quality.
Or, you can choose the Manual option and adjust the light according to your preference.
Virtual backgrounds: It is a super cool feature that Zoom provides to the users, which you can find under the Background and filters option.
Not only it includes a wide range of options, but users can also make changes according their own choices.

Now follow the steps to know how to improve zoom video quality using video filters:
- Click on Zoom Settings and then select Background & Filters option.
- Choose a filter of your choice.
Process 3: Make Sure There Is Adequate Lighting
Light plays an important role to improve zoom video quality. So make sure there is adequate light.
If you are in a video call during the daytime, make sure to sit in front of an open window with sufficient natural light.
If the call is at night time, then set up a light aiming at you from the behind the camera.
Don’t place it behind you because it can create shimmer or shadow, which can disturb others in the video call.
Process 4: Check The Camera Level
If your camera is not set at your eye level, then it can distract people during the call.
If you are video calling with a mobile phone and not using a tripod or something that can hold your device, then it can shake the image continuously.
The same thing happens with your PC or laptop.
If you don’t use any laptop stand, you should adjust your webcam or laptop camera level at your eye level.
Process 5: Get Better External Sources
If you still can’t improve zoom video quality in any of the above way, you can buy an external HD webcam or good camera to enhance the video quality.
There are lots of products available in the market and you can choose accordingly.
