When you verify the integrity of game files, the Steam app will tally the files already downloaded on your computer locally, with the game files present on the server. When it notices any missing or corrupt files, the broken files will be repaired, and any missing files will be downloaded again.

Step 1: Steam Verify Integrity Of Game Files
First let us take a look at how to validate the local game files. Follow these steps for the same:
- Open the Steam client on your computer.
- Switch over to the Library tab from the top menu.
