1. Link Spotify To Alexa

To link Spotify to Alexa, follow these steps:

  • Open the Alexa app and tap on More, and then Settings.

  • Under Alexa Preferences, select Music & Podcasts followed by Link New Service.

  • Select Spotify and then select the ‘Enable to Use’ option.

  • You can choose to Continue with Google or enter the account credentials and then choose an account.

  • Select Continue and follow the on-screen instructions. Click on the Link when prompted to finish the process.

  • But one thing you should remember is that you still need to say “On Spotify” at the end of commands to play podcasts.

2. Set Spotify As The Default

You can select Spotify as your default player to use voice commands with Alexa and here’s how you can do so:

  • Open the Alexa app.
  • Tap More, and then Settings.
  • Under Alexa Preferences, select Music & Podcasts.
  • Tap on Family Default Services.

  • Select the Change button next to the default service and then select Spotify.

  • Repeat the same for Music, Artists, and Genre Stations or Podcasts if you want to.

3. Remove Spotify From Amazon

To remove Spotify from Alexa, this is what you should do:

  • Open the Alexa app.
  • Tap Settings, then Music & Podcasts.
  • Select Spotify and then select Disable Skill.
