1. Link The Music Streaming App To Alexa

  • Open the Alexa app and tap on More, and then Settings.

  • Under Alexa Preferences, select Music & Podcasts.
  • Select Link New Service.

  • Select the music streaming app, say Apple Music or Spotify.
  • Then select the Enable to Use option, followed by selecting an account.

  • You can choose to continue with Google or enter the account credentials.
  • Then choose an account, select Continue, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Click on the link when prompted to finish the process.
  • Agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Linked music services are listed under Manage Services.

2. Set The Music Streaming App As Default

You can select the music streaming app as your default player to use voice commands with Alexa.

For this, here’s what you need to do:

  • Open the Alexa app and tap on More.
  • Then, select Settings.
  • Under Alexa Preferences, select Music & Podcasts.
  • Tap on Family Default Services.

  • Select the Change button next to the default service.

  • Then select the app, for example, we can select Spotify here.
  • Repeat the same for Music, Artists, and Genre Stations or Podcasts if you want to. If after doing so, the streaming services do not work, then follow this guide to fix it.

3. Remove The Music Streaming App From Amazon

If you want to remove a music streaming app on Amazon, then here’s how you can do it:

  • Open the Alexa app on your smartphone.
  • Tap Settings, then Music & Podcasts.
  • Select the music streaming app.
  • Then select Disable Skill.
