I ran into this FC 26 issue on my PC myself, and it was incredibly frustrating. The game would disconnect unexpectedly, making it impossible to enjoy a full match. After trying several different fixes, I discovered that checking my system met the game’s minimum requirements and repairing the EA AntiCheat resolved the issue for me.
Your situation might be a little different, but these are among the most effective solutions and are worth trying first before moving on to the other troubleshooting methods.
Before jumping into the fixes, let’s first understand why this error happens in the first place.
Why Does the FC 26 Disconnection Issue Happen?

The FC 26 disconnection issue can occur for several reasons. Here are the most common ones:
- Your PC doesn’t meet the game’s minimum system requirements, causing instability during gameplay.
- Corrupted, outdated, or missing EA AntiCheat files prevent the game from maintaining a stable connection.
- Improper in-game graphics settings, especially on low-end PCs, can lead to crashes or disconnects. Corrupted or missing game files can prevent the game from functioning correctly.
- An unstable or slow internet connection can interrupt communication with EA’s servers.
- EA server outages or scheduled maintenance can disconnect players even when their own setup is working fine.
- Windows Defender Firewall or third-party antivirus software may block the game’s network access.
- Outdated network adapter drivers can cause connectivity issues and packet loss.
- DNS-related network issues can interfere with the game’s ability to connect to EA servers.
- Background applications consuming bandwidth or system resources can lead to random disconnections.
- Insufficient virtual memory (VRAM/page file) can affect game performance and stability.
