How To Combine Rar Files?

However in this article we are also going to cover the method to merge two Rar files, which is a bit more complicated. Let’s go ahead and discuss in-depth about it.

Similar to other compression software’s a rar file created using Winrar is data container which contains the data in a compressed format.

This data can be packed using Winrar and unpacked using Winrar, 7zip and Winzip softwares. Winrar is currently available for Windows, Mac OS and for Android. It is a trialware program and can be used for a period of 40 days from installation.

How To Combine Rar Files?

It is very simple to combine rar files, which was created using multipart method. This method is used to split large files in chunks so they are easy to upload online and transfer.

 To extract them all you need is to use software from Winrar, 7Zip or Winzip and click on the lowest number file and extract it.

As I told earlier Winrar comes with a 40 day evaluation which is more than enough if you have a single time use. In other case you can use either 7zip or Winzip program which is free to use.

How To Merge Rar Files?

To merge two or more rar files you will need to download Winrar. To download it visit the official site and head to the download section. Download the X86 or X64 version according to your installed operating system and then follow the below steps.

Step 1:

Install Winrar once the download is completed and then launch the program.

Step 2:

Using Winrar navigate to the folders where the rar files are located which you would like to merge together.

Step 3:

Press “Ctrl” key and select the files to be merged together.

Step 4:

Click the “Extract to” button and begin the extraction process. Remember to select the destination path before you start the extraction.

Step 5:

Using the Winrar file browser navigate to the folder where the files were extracted. They are now ready to be merged together.

Step 6:

Select all the files by right clicking on the Winrar browser and clicking in “Select all” option

Step 7:

Click on “Add” button and then enter the name of the merged archive. Click on the radio button next to “Rar” to select the format and then click “OK”

Step 8:

Your files will be merged together. To verify the files have been properly merged double click on the archive through the file explorer and have a check.
