Before diving into the fixes, here are some typical causes of connectivity problems:

  • Weak Wi-Fi signal due to distance or obstructions – due to which you can also experience lagging issues
  • Incorrect network settings or outdated credentials
  • Interference from nearby electronic devices
  • Router compatibility issues, for example, 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz
  • Faulty power supply or HDMI port
  • Software glitches or outdated firmware
  • Hardware placement that blocks signal reception

What To Do To Fix Onn Connection Issues

Follow the methods given below when you are experiencing ONN connection issues.

1. Check your Wi-Fi Network

When ONN is having connection issues, check the Wi-Fi Network you are connected to is not slow or unstable.

If your router supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, try connecting your ONN fast to the 5 GHz network.

  • To do that, from the Home screen, navigate to Settings or select the gear icon. Then select All settings.
  • Go to the Network & Internet section.
  • Now, you can change the network service and check if that works.  You can restart the router and modem and the ONN device and see if that helps fix the issue.

2. Reconnect the Network

The next thing you can do is reconnect the network.

  • From the top right of the TV, select Settings. Then All Settings.
  • Select Wi-Fi and then the network name. Next, select Forget Network.

  • Then follow the steps as shown. Now connect to the same new network or a different network and check if that helps. Make sure you type the correct email ID and password.
  • Follow the steps as shown to set up your ONN with Google TV or Google TV Streamer on a new network.

3. Check For Interference

Ensure that the ONN device is not obstructed by any objects. Also, avoid placing the ONN behind the TV or near any other electronic devices that may cause interference.

Make sure you keep the ONN away from any electric or wireless devices.

If possible, position your Wi-Fi router closer to the Onn for a good signal strength.

4. Try Using an Ethernet Adapter

The next thing you can do is connect your ONN to your router using an Ethernet adapter.

Using an Ethernet adapter can provide a more stable and reliable connection compared to Wi-Fi, especially in areas with weak or unstable wireless signals.

5. Check Your Power Source

Make sure your ONN is plugged directly into a power source using the power cable and adaptor that came with it.

Also, make sure the power source is not faulty. You can connect the device to another power source and check.

6. Check Your TV or Monitor

Make sure your TV or Monitor is set to the HDMI input that your ONN is plugged into.

If you have multiple HDMI ports on your TV or monitor, you can plug the ONN into a different HDMI port and then check if it is working.

7. Contact Help

If your ONN is still not working then you can contact Onn Support and follow the instructions provided by the experts to fix the issue.

Wrapping Up

So, there you have it.

Connection issues with ONN devices can be frustrating, but most are easy to resolve with a few quick checks and adjustments.

Whether it’s switching Wi-Fi bands, repositioning your device, or using a wired connection, these steps should help you get back to streaming smoothly. For any further issues, turn up in the comments section provided below.
