Now, go through the solutions carefully and solve the EA anti-cheat error.

1) Uninstall Anti-Cheat Software

Make sure that there isn’t any other anti-cheat software installed on your PC.

If there is any other AntiCheat software installed with other games like CSGO or Valorant, then you have to uninstall that AntiCheat software and then restart your PC.

2) Check The Integrity Of Game Files

Checking the integrity of the game files is another thing that can be done.

Perform the following steps to do it:

  • First, open Steam and then head to the library section.
  • Next, you need to right-click on FIFA 23 and select Properties.

  • Wait till Steam finishes the verification process. Once it is done, start playing the game.

Another thing you can try is to reinstall the EA anti-cheat.

Sometimes the EA anti-cheat software installed with the game can become corrupted and show such errors. Here is how you can reinstall it.

  • First, open the Steam library and right-click on the game.
  • Next, select the Manage option and click on Browse local files.

This error can also appear if Secure Boot is not enabled in your BIOS. Here is how you can check and enable it:

  • Type System Information on the Start menu and open it.

  • Find the Secure Boot State and see if it is On.

  • If it is on, then move to the next solution. But if it is off, you will have to boot into the BIOS and enable it.
  • BIOS settings are different for every motherboard type, but they should be under the Boot tab.

Enter BIOS by restarting your PC and pressing the BIOS key of your motherboard.

5) Add The Game To The Antivirus Exclusion List

Adding the game to the Antivirus Exclusion list on your PC is the last thing you can do.

If you have any 3rd party Antivirus, add the game to the Whitelist or Exclusion list.

Those who are using Windows Defender, here is how you can do it:

  • Type Windows Security in the Search bar and select the top result.
