Unable to connect to the EA Server error is pretty familiar with most EA games.
If you face this issue on FIFA 23, we have shown how to solve it here.
If you are facing low FPS, then follow this guide.
What Causes The Unable To Connect To EA Server Issue?
The probable reasons for the EA Server issue are listed down below:
- EA Servers are down.
- Weak internet connection.
- Corrupted cache.
How Can You Fix The EA Server Issue?
These fixes will help you when you are unable to connect to the EA Servers.
Go through them and perform each of them to resolve your issue.
1) Restart Your PC
The first thing you can do is restart the PC.
Restarting the PC can solve such bugs.
But if the issue persists after the restart, then perform the next step.
2) Check The Internet Connection
The next step is checking your Internet connection.
You can check the internet speed by visiting Speedtest.net and see whether your internet connection is fast and stable.
If your Internet is not fast or stable, you will have to fix that first.
3) Shut Down Your Router
You can also try shutting down your router and turning it on after a few minutes.
It is necessary to bring the router closer to the device for a better connection.
Try connecting with an Ethernet cable if you are not using that.
Make sure multiple devices are not connected to your Wi-Fi since it would split the bandwidth and lead to connection issues.
4) Change The DNS Address
Another thing you can do is change the DNS address. Your ISP’s DNS can block the EA server, which is why you fail to connect to it.
This can be easily solved by changing the DNS.
Here is how you can do it:
- First, press the Windows + R keys to open Run.
- Type ncpa.cpl on the Run command box and press Enter.
- Right-click on the Network Adapter you are using for the internet connection and select Properties.
- Double-click on the Internet Protocol Version 4.
- Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
- Now, enter 8.8.8.8 in the preferred DNS server and 8.8.4.4. in the Alternated DNS server sections, and click on OK.
- You can also change the Preferred DNS to 1.1.1.1 and Alternate DNS to 1.0.0.1, which is Cloudflare DNS.
5) Reset The Network Settings
If changing the DNS doesn’t work, run the following commands to reset the network.
Here is what you need to do:
- First, type the Command Prompt in the search bar and run it as administrator.
- Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
- Next type netsh int ip reset and press Enter.
- After that type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter.
- Then type ipconfig/release and press Enter.
- Finally, type ipconfig/renew and press Enter.
- Finally, restart your PC and see if the issue gets fixed.
6) Add The Game To The Antivirus Exclusion List
Adding the game to the antivirus exclusion list on your PC can resolve the issue.
If you have any 3rd party antivirus, add the game to the whitelist or exclusion list of that antivirus.
Here is how you can do it on Windows Security:
- First, you need to type Windows Security and select the top result.
- Then select Virus and threat protection.
- Scroll down and click on Manage Ransomware protection.
- Next click on allow an app through the controller folder access and select yes.
- Click on Add an allowed app option and browse to the FIFA 23 installation folder and select the exe file.
- If you don’t know where the installation folder is, in that case, open Steam and click on Library.
- Then, right-click on FIFA 23, select Manage, and browse local files.
- Now, check the address of the installation folder and browse it.
- Run the game after it is added and see if the issue is fixed.
- If the issue persists, then try disabling the Controlled Folder access toggle from the Ransomware protection settings.
