You are all accustomed to this that Windows 10 comes with a special Game Mode Feature meant especially for gamers. This feature is enabled by default and it enhances the performance of the games. It hierarchizes CPU and graphics resources to make the game run faster without any hazards.

Method 1: Disable Fullscreen Optimizations In Windows 10 Through Settings

Windows 10 has introduced new gaming features, called Fullscreen optimizations. With this feature, even when you are running games in the full-screen mode, you are allowed to optimize its performance.

But, according to some users, you may face issues with this feature and need to disable it for your gaming.

Follow the guidelines provided to perform the task effectively:

Step 1: First of all, open Settings.

Step 2: Now find Go to System and then click Display.

Step 3: Navigate for Advanced Graphics Settings.

Step 4: Uncheck the option Enable Fullscreen optimizations on the next page.

Now check whether you have properly disabled Fullscreen optimizations in windows 10.

Method 2: Turn Off Full Screen Optimization With A Registry Tweak

You can easily disable Fullscreen optimizations via registry editor. Here, I am providing a guide to turn it off with a registry tweak. Just follow the steps provided below:

Step 1: Open Run dialog by pressing the Windows key and R key together.

Step 2: Enter” regedit” in the box and then click OK.

Step 3: Now, Registry Editor Window will be opened. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore.

Step 4: Right-Click on the right side and select New > DWORD (32-bit) value.

Step 5: Now, name it as the GameDVR FSEBehavior and double-click it to change its value data to 2. This will disable fullscreen optimization. Now, save these changes and exit the Registry Editor window.

Method 3: Disable Fullscreen Optimizations For Some Specific Applications

You may want to If you want to disable Fullscreen optimizations for some specific app. This tutorial will provide you the guideline to do the same:

Step 1: Choose the application that you want to disable fullscreen optimizations and right-click on it.

Step 2: Go to Properties and from there, select the Compatibility tab.

Step 4: Now, check the option Disable Fullscreen optimizations. This way you may turn off the full-screen optimization successfully.

Method 4: Disable Fullscreen Optimizations For All Users

You can also choose to disable fullscreen optimization for all users instead of disabling it for some specific apps. For this you need to do as follows:

Step 1: Right-click on that particular application you want to disable Fullscreen optimizations.

Step 2:  Select Properties and then go to the Compatibility tab.

Step 3: Now, Click Change settings for all users.

Step 6:  Click Apply and then press OK to save the desired changes.
