Another method,
Open up a completely new project and click on a tab that doesn’t fail when you open it, for example my project failed when I was clicked on the ‘EDIT’ tab. So opening a new project I clicked on ‘MEDIA’ tab. Then I closed that project and opened up the project that kept cutting out and it stayed open on the ‘MEDIA’ tab. I was then able to export the project. Then opened up a new file and imported the project and it solved the issue.
