Follow the steps given below when there are cast issues on ONN.

  • Different Wi-Fi Networks – Casting only works when both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  • Bluetooth Disabled – Some casting features rely on Bluetooth being active on your phone or tablet.
  • Outdated Google Chrome – If casting from a laptop, an old browser version can block the connection.
  • Outdated Apps or ONN Software – Running older versions of apps or system software may cause compatibility issues.
  • Unsupported Apps – Not all apps are Cast-compatible; only those designed for Google Cast will work.
  • System Glitches – Persistent errors may require a factory reset to clear corrupted settings.
  • Hardware or Persistent Issues – In rare cases, you may need ONN support for advanced troubleshooting.

What To Do When You’re Experiencing Casting Errors on ONN

You can fix casting problems by checking Wi-Fi connections, enabling Bluetooth, updating Google Chrome, updating apps and ONN software, confirming app compatibility, performing a factory reset, or contacting ONN support for deeper assistance.

1. Check Wi-Fi Connection

When you cannot cast apps on your ONN device, make sure your phone, tablet, or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your ONN or other Google Cast-enabled devices.

Verify that your ONN device is also on the same Wi-Fi network.

  • Navigate to the top right corner of the home screen using your remote.
  • Select the Settings icon. Then select All Settings.
  • In the Settings menu, scroll down and select “Network & Internet”.

  • Or you can navigate to Settings from Home Menu right beneath Settings you should find Wi-Fi option.
  • Select the same network your smartphone is connected to. You can also restart your ONN, router, and the device you are casting from phone, tablet, or computer.

2. Verify Bluetooth Settings

On your phone or tablet, ensure Bluetooth is enabled.

You can swipe down from the top of your Smartphone and turn on Bluetooth.

Or you can head to your Phone settings and then navigate to Bluetooth.

Then toggle on the  switch.

3. Update Google Chrome

If you are casting from a laptop using the Chrome browser, then make sure Google Chrome is updated to the latest version.

To do that, click on the three dots menu. Then select Help. Then About Google Chrome. Wait till Chrome updates to the latest software version.

If you’re unable to Cast your app, first confirm that the app is Cast-compatible.

ONN devices running Google TV or Android TV support casting, but only from apps that are designed to work with the Cast protocol. Popular apps like YouTube, Netflix, and Spotify typically work, but some third-party or regional apps may not.
