There are a lot of ways to fix the audio stuttering or complete sound loss in Star Wars Jedi.

Try out the troubleshooting steps mentioned below, and if these steps do not solve the problem, you can contact technical support for further assistance.

1) Check The Integrity Of Game Files

Checking the integrity of game files involves checking the Game’s files to ensure that they are not corrupted or missing.

Audio issues are generally caused by missing or corrupted files.

Therefore, checking the integrity of game files is a convenient & easy way to fix audio and other game-related issues.

This is how it can be done:

  • Open Steam & head to the library.

  • Wait till Steam finishes verifying, and then play the Game.

2) Reinstalling The Graphics Driver

Since the Game is sound-intensive, a faulty or outdated graphics driver can cause conflicts and lead to audio problems.

Reinstalling the graphics driver helps in resolving audio shuttering or complete sound loss issues in Star Wars.

Incompatible, outdated, or corrupted graphics drivers can be responsible for causing instability in the Game along with audio shuttering issues.

Follow the steps to reinstall the graphics driver:

  • First, right-click on Windows Start button & select Device Manager.

  • After expanding Display Adapters, right-click on the Graphics driver.
  • Select Uninstall Device.

  • After you uninstall the driver, reinstall it again.

In the case of the AMD graphics driver, install the Radeon app and run it. For NVIDIA graphics drivers, install the GeForce Experience.

Running these apps will automatically help detect the missing graphics drivers and download and install them automatically.

After that, restart your PC and run the app.

Also, check for any updates. If any update is available, then download & install them.

3) Disable VoiceMeeter

VoiceMeeter is used for audio mixing and controls. But it can cause conflicts with the Game’s audio system and lead to audio shuttering or complete sound loss. So, disable the VoiceMeeter and check if t helps fix the problem.

This is how you can do it:

  • Open Task Manager from the Windows Search menu.
  • Look for VoiceMeeter in the Processes tab and right-click on it.
  • Select the End Task option to close it.

  • To disable it, open Device Manager again.
  • After expanding Sound, video, and game controllers, right-click on VoiceMeeter.
  • Select the Disable Device option.

4) Lower The In-Game Graphics Settings

High graphics settings put a strain on the device’s hardware and lead to audio problems.

By reducing the graphics settings, you will be able to free up more resources for the Game’s audio system.

To lower the in-game graphics settings, you need to get access to the Game’s graphics options menu and then adjust the settings to a lower setting.

Here is how it can be done:

  • First, open the Game.
  • Next, open Options.

5) Select The Correct Audio Output Device

If the Game is set to play audio through a device that is not connected properly or functioning properly, then it leads to audio shuttering or complete sound loss issues.

By selecting the correct output device, you will be able to ensure that the Game’s audio is being played through a functioning and compatible device.

If the device is connected to multiple audio output options, make sure you use the correct device to hear the Game’s audio.

To do this, follow the steps:

  • Go to the Windows Search box & type Sound Settings in the Windows Search bar. Next, select the top result.

6) Disconnect The External Microphone

By disconnecting the external microphone, you will ensure that the Game’s audio system is not affected by it, and instead, the default microphone device is used.

Since an external microphone is useful for voice chat or recording, it is likely to cause conflicts with the Game’s audio system files that, in turn, lead to audio problems.

Therefore, it is recommended to disconnect the external microphone, then launch the Game and check for the audio shuttering or the complete sound loss issue.

7) Disable The Hands-Free

The hands-free telephony feature is generally used for making phone calls or for using voice commands.

This sometimes interferes with the Game’s audio system and leads to audio problems.

If the hands-free feature is selected as the default audio output or is causing any conflict with the Game’s audio system, it can lead to audio shuttering or complete sound loss issues.

Follow the steps mentioned below to disable the hands-free:

  • Type Control Panel and then click on the first option to open it.

control-panel

  • Change the View by Category and select Hardware and Sound.
  • Then, click on Devices and Printers.
